What is llms.txt and where does the file go?

llms.txt is an emerging standard: a Markdown text file at yoursite.com/llms.txt that tells AI systems what your shop is about and which pages to prioritise. ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude and other bots use it as a lightweight catalogue index.

Store profile and multilingual sections

Write a short main store description per language. It appears as a blockquote at the top of each language block - the first thing AI reads about who you are and what you sell.

Customise section titles for categories, bestsellers and CMS pages in every language (e.g. "Main categories", "Bestsellery", "Customer service"). The module loops all active shop languages and builds one structured file with clear separators between locales.

Bestsellers: your top 5 products for AI

Enable the bestsellers section and the module exports your top 5 products by sales per language. Each line is a Markdown link with the product name, URL and current price from PrestaShop.

LLMS.txt Generator Pro exports up to 500 products with SKU, brand, category path, stock filters, sale-only rules, sort by price or date, and per-product AI description overrides. Five bestsellers are a start. A full catalogue is Pro.

Categories and CMS pages

Promoted categories: tick categories in the PrestaShop tree. Each becomes a markdown link with its live storefront URL. Empty selection still outputs the section heading - pick the branches that matter for AI discovery.

CMS pages: enter page IDs comma-separated (e.g. 1,3,5). Terms, privacy policy, shipping info and about pages appear under your custom CMS section title. Only active pages export.

Automatic regeneration

The module registers hooks on product update and category update. When you save changes in the catalogue, llms.txt rebuilds without opening the module settings again.

Install also generates the first file. Uninstall removes /llms.txt from the shop root. If you activate Pro later, settings migrate automatically and Pro takes over generation.
