Gift card - in fact - is a voucher code available to use in the shop during checkout. You have to specify voucher code settings - so module after someone will order a gift card will have possibility to generate unique voucher code.
To define value of gift card, additional gift card rules etc. you have to click on coupon icon that is available near each available "gift card", like i show on the screenshot below. Clicking on icon will redirect you to page where you can manage settings of the voucher code that will be treated as a gift card. So, to configure settings of voucher code - just click on the icon.
