GeoLiteCity.dat file that previously was published and updated by Maxmind is not available anymore. Maxmind decided to discontinue project and released new version of database GeoLite2:
On January 2, 2019, we discontinued our GeoLite Legacy databases. This discontinuation was first announced on January 2, 2018.
GeoLite Legacy databases are no longer available for download. Attempting to download a GeoLite Legacy database file will result in the error: “Database edition not found”.
Unfortunately many merchants noticed that new GeoLite2 database does not work in PrestShop 1.6.x properly, it causing internal server errors and breaks the website. In this case the best solution will be usage of file with old structure. You can download it below.
